What would Jesus do? is a powerful question, but how can we know the answer if we don’t know what Jesus said. Throughout the gospels, Jesus reminds us repeatedly to “Keep my words,” “Keep my commandment,” and “Keep my sayings.” Therefore, as followers of Christ it is important for us to study what he said until it is written on our hearts, memorized in our minds, and embodied by our souls. In John 14:21, Jesus says “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”

While Jesus did not speak directly on everything we deal with in today’s world, what he said over 2,000 years ago offers us the best blueprint for daily decision-making and building the Kingdom of Heaven here on Earth. Through the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit, we have been empowered with everything we need to live and love in the most Christlike way possible.
